Thinking Of You card

Happy Hump Day stamping friends. What is going on in the world? It deeply saddens me that the Devil is all around us. My heart goes out to all of the American's families that lost loved ones yesterday in the attacks of the Embassy in Libya. God bless the survivors of these families. I went to the doctor again yesterday and ended up getting  some expensive drugs to get rid of this what is zapping all my energy. It is supposed to help me in a couple of days. Thank the Lord I got a doctor that cared enough to really help me. I was going to go into work but decided not to and called into sleep in a bit and get started on my tomatoes that I will blanch all today and then can tomorrow. I have to get started but I stamped this card fist. Priorities you know. LOL! Wow I just took some mail out to the mail box and the winds must be about 45 miles an hour. Hold onto your wigs kind of day.

On my card I stamped it for the 2 different challenges that I will link too. My card base is Bravo Burgundy, with  the second layer Whisper White that I rolled with the Viola's Lace and the Thoughtful Friend  Builder Wheels in Bravo Burgundy ink. Then I stamped flower from Raining Flowers  stamp set in So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Summer Starfruit. I cut them 2-1/2" wide and then about 1-7/8" thin to fit on my cut down 2nd layer. I put a pearl in the middle of each flower. Then I used the Sassy Salutations for the greeting and bannered it. This was for the ColourQ colors and the Clean and Simple and Keep it Simple card challenges. I like the way it turned out, what do you think?

Raining Flowers I'm Here For You Card

Happy Saturday stampers. Oh wow what a day. I got ready to go to the festival and loaded up my car. I just grabbed a light cotton jacket because it felt muggy outside. I got over to where the people selling were and talked to my neighbors and left my stuff in the car. By this time it was looking like rain. I walked down the street to the store where I work to buy a can of pineapple and a granola bar for breakfast and it started pouring rain. I thought oh crap, how am I going to get back. There were some guys I know in buying conduit to try to stand up an umbrella to shade them from the rain.I hitched a ride back to my table with them. Sat in the car till it stopped raining and then the wind picked up again and I finally decided that I was cold and damp and just getting over my bad cold I figured that really wasn't the place for me. So I came home and crawled into the bed to try to get warm and fell asleep. I have now tons of card all ready to sell so I guess I will bundle them up and  try to sell them at the store. Maybe. Or give them as gifts in a bundle. The inside is stamped and everything. I sort of have a headache and it is only about 60 degrees and breezy so it will be a great day to maybe take a walk later. I have been doing chores around here. Doesn't hurt to get things done I guess. LOL!

Here is a card I stamped to sell. I used the Raining Flowers Set and embossed the images with clear embossing powder and they came out so cute. Don't you think? I love these colors together.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive. I textured the background Card Stock with the Argyle EF and used the Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the shapes for the flowers and the greeting. I used the Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and added the Designer Buttons on top with Mini Glue Dots. I used the White Bakers Twine to string through the buttons.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Raining Flowers, Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Olive Green, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Versamark
Tools: Big Shot, Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Buttons, Baker's Twine, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals.
Well I had a friend going to the movie tonight to see Hope Springs and he canceled on me so I guess it is that kind of day. Crappy all around but I got this chance to show you a card and that is a good thing. I will show your some boxes I made to sell too. They turned out cute. Hmmmm. I guess I will have to eat the goodies in them. I hope you have a honey of a day and  thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Bev

Raining Flowers Birthday card

Hi stamping buddies, TGIF! Yeah right, I have to work all day today and now the weekend and won't have a day off till next Wednesday. YIKES! I will be dead by then. Well dead tired anyway. LOL! I already feel that way this morning. I didn't feel so good when I got home last night so tried to take a nap but my phone kept ringing. So I got up and had some fruit and then started blog hopping and ran across one of my BFF's blog and she had a card similar to this   but much different that I liked so I am casing it from Julia at www.juliasuesstamping.blogspot.com . So check out Julia's card and see what hers looks like. You should follow her too because she has some incredible ideas. She even has a free newsletter you can sign up for. You can tell her that I sent you too if you want. She is a dear dear friend of mine. Yep, I love her a lot.

On this card I stamped the medium  flower from Raining Flowers and I used the Summer Star Fruit, Marina Mist and Real Red which was a Color Coach Combo. I go to my coach a lot to help with color combos. I stamped them and because I didn't have the perfect circle punch I used this framelit for the Apothecary Accents and I think it worked out fine. I sponged around each on with the coordinating colors and then popped them up with dimensions. I textured the Whisper White Card Stock with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and then sponged Marina Mist over it to pop out the design of the folder. I put some "Bling" on the flowers with a little Rhinestone. Then I stamped the greeting with the Petite Pairs stamp. It is a pretty simple card but I thought it turned out really pretty, don't you?  I love the simplicity of it. I think my niece witll like it and her birthday is this month. Well, I better start thinking about getting ready for work as I work the late shift tonight. Till
6: 00 anyway.

Here are the details:

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and bless you for checking in but please show me some love and leave a comment. Bee happy and hope you have time to create something cute and send it because everyone loves getting a handmade card.

Sympathy Card with Raining Flowers

Hi friends, tonight I have a color blocking card to share that I started a long time ago but just put the greeting on it today. The stamp set Raining Flowers is a 2 step stamp set but I made this big flower that is a one step stamp look like a 2 step stamp by taking my Early Espresso Marker and running it along the edge of the stamp after I had inked it up with the Baja Breeze ink. I think it just made the stamp pop and give it dimension. Don't you?  I popped up the center of the flower that I cut out and the shadow looks like there is a grayish spot but there isn't is is just the shadow from the lighting. I like how this turned out and it will be an easy mailable card. I like those.

I was so excited today being able to view the new catalog and it is so beautiful. Some of my new stuff comes tomorrow so I hope to have some time to play with it so I can post something for you. The new Annual Catalog is so incredible. You will love the way it is laid out. Some new punches and quite a bit of new Big Shot stuff. SO EXCITING! Can you tell how much I love STAMPIN' UP!? I really do love my job.  Come on June so I can order the new Big Shot and punches that are new. I need to start stamping my swap cards for Convention in July also. Lots to do. But fun stuff.

Here are the card details:
Stamp Sets: Raining Flowers, Loving Thoughts
Card Stock: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Early Espresso
Inks: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Early Espresso
Accessories: Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon, Cutter Kit, Dimensionals
This was really a pretty easy card. I hope you like it and I am yawning from being up early to see the catalog and order it. Let me know what you think of this card and remember to create something cute. Bless you for stopping by. Hugs, Bev
