Hello stamping buddies. Wow this 3 day weekend has just flown by. Darn it anyway! I made it to town to get groceries, an hour drive each way. Ready for a nap ha ha! Not really since I am on my 2nd cup of coffee since I got home. I still have to make my bread this afternoon so will make this quick. OK?
I saw this Retro Sketch and thought,"oh what a great way to use DSP" and then forgot all about this Birds Of A Feather DSP and wanted to make a card with it so here it is for the Retro Sketches Card Challenge this week. I actually just used the birdie from the Moving Forward Stamp Set because he is so cute and you don't have to color him in. I stamped it in the colors of the DSP which is Island Indigo, Primrose Petals, and Summer Starfruit. Then I used my Island Indigo Marker to color the a little birdie told me so... I scalloped the bottom edge of the Whisper White Card Stock and tied some Island Indigo Baker's Twine around it and tied a bow. You down;t see too many bows on my cards since I am bow challenged. I stamped the It's your birthday on scrap of Whisper White CS and used the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut that out and then attached it underneath. Then it was so naked I thought so I used my Color Spritzer Tool with my Island Indigo Marker. Attached the In Color Stitched Satin Ribbon that is on special this month and stuck a couple of pieces on with Mini glue Dots. Easy Peasey card but I think it is cute. Don't you?

Happy Saturday morning friends, ugh I got my cold back again. I can't believe it! After work last night I ran some groceries to a lady that had called in and ordered and then I stopped by to get some celery from the garden at my BFF's house that was gone camping. I came home and cleaned the celery and took some cough medicine and went to bed. I did grab my mail though and look what I got from my sweet treasured friend Julia Sager I met at convention a couple of years ago and we just hit it off. I couldn't make it to convention last year so she got this darling SU shopping bag that I just adore and also sent me this Moving Forward card. Isn't it cute? She is so sweet I feel so blessed to have her in my life. My pic didn't turn out to good but I just can't do better than this today. I am stressing about blanching tons of tomatoes and cleaning them for stewed tomatoes as I feel like crap. I see I also need to clean and do laundry. Thank God it is a long weekend but we had someone quit at work so that means next week I will not have any day off. I guess however with buying 3 new tires since August 1st it is probably a good thing .
Anyway, I won't have time to stamp too much as I have to start dealing with the tomatoes I was given. I will appreciate having them some day. I will get them all blanched and clean today and then make the stewed tomatoes for soup base tomorrow. Then I can clean and do laundry on Monday so maybe I will have time to stamp and share. I just wanted you to see this darling Moving Forward card where she stamped it twice in I think Soft Suede and then cut it out and Paper Pieced it onto the card. So darling with the little punched out flowers with some "Bling" added. I needed some Bling too.

Hi again stamping friends, oh what a day! I got 15 pints of salsa canned today. YAY! It was so hot here too so ugh, not the best day to can. But it is done until I get more maters. LOL! It is so hot and dry here it sort of looks refreshing down in Mississippi but I feel for those people down there getting flooded by the Hurricane. My prayers go out to everyone there. I stamped this card for 3 Card Challenges all at once. Word Art Wednesday, CASology, and Colourq. I can't believe I can get it all in one. YIPPEE! Casology was relax and a bike ride with that little birdie on front would be relaxing. The colors were for Colourq and the Trust God image was for Word Art. We are almost to the weekend and it is a long one because of Labor Day. I wish I had something planned, but don't yet anyway.
On my card I used the Moving Forward stamp set and really not just for the 3 challenges but this set is the Ronald McDonald Charities stamp set this year so for every stamp set sold SU donates $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald Charity. Isn't that nice? I sure think so. Do you have your set yet? You can order by clicking on my shop now button. I used Crumb Cake for the base card and a 1/2 layer of Basic Gray that I textured with the Fancy Fan EF. I stamped the image using my Marker to Stamp technique on Whisper White and then cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits. I sponged around the die cut with Gumball Green ink. I stamped an image from the Trust God stamp set and used the Finishing Touches Edgelits in Gumball Green Card Stock to layer under the Basic Gray . I wasn't sure about the color combo for Colourq but I guess it turned out okay. Don't you?

Hi stamping bleeps, oh wow it is a hot one up here. I wish I was flying in here to cool off today. I stamped this card for the Stamping 411 challenge so I hope I did it right. I am challenge happy lately, aren't I? LOL! I love these challenges that help you lay out your card though. I went to prayer group and then church this morning and came home and shut up my house. It is hot and muggy and I was sitting here falling asleep so just made a cup of Joe on my Kuerig. It is sunny but HOT!!!!
On my card I used the Ronald McDonald set that is a great set that SU donates $3.00 of every set sold to the RM house. If you have ever been where you need housing when someone is sick they are so great to be around to help. So if you don't have this set I hope my card inspires you to buy it. I used Island Indigo and the the Summer Smooches DSP again to make this card. I stamped the image without the words to make my card. I used the Labels Collection Framelits on the Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. I stamped the image in Island Indigo and then I used my marker to color in some of the pennants. I textured the Daffodil Delights Card Stock with the Perfect Polka Dots to mimic the DSP. The piece of Island Indigo Card Stock was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. Then I tied the Bakers Twine around it and used the ticket punch stamped with the Occasions Alphabet on it. I took the Color Spritzing Tool and spritzed the card and it almost looks like the balloon is heading into a storm, doesn't it? LOL!

Hello friends, here is a card I made for the ColourQ Challenge this week. I used the Pleasant Poppies set and then used the Floral Frames Framelits to cut out the shape. I colored the poppies with my blender pen using Poppy Parade and So Saffron ink. I used the Ronald McDonald set Moving Forward set and I only used the words with my Poppy Parade marker. I textured the Apothecary Accents Framelit cutout with the Chevron EF. I made banners with 1" strips of So Saffron Card Stock and bannered them with a square punch. I picked up ink from my lid of my Pacific Point ink pad with the Aqua Painter and flicked it onto my card. I think that pretty much explains how I made the card.
I got my sheets washed along with my comforter and that felt good to have done. It was a beautiful day yesterday and I had a relaxing day after working so many hours lately. It was all catching up with me I guess. I wanted to make sure I did the ColourQ challenge this week and I hope you will check out all the other creative stampers.
