Affection Collection Card

Well hello stamping buddies. I know it has been a long time but just haven't had to heart to stamp or post anything. This was a card I stamped back in November but never posted. I figured I would post something and since this set isn't even available anymore I won't bore you with too many details.
I haven't really shared this with too many people but I am not sure that I will continue my stamping business after March. This is when I will get back to Davenport I won't feel like continuing on. I will explain this to my main customer base up north. I have thought this through a lot and this has been my decision. I will still stamp to maintain my blog probably but it won't be to sell my SU items. I had actually stamped this card for a challenge and I can't even remember what it was. I think I embossed the images. Sorry I can't remember.
I am still trying to clear out some of Mom's things and it is still difficult as I expected. I sure have seen a lot of movies to thanks to my sister.

I will be back to Minnesota soon and have my last party up there February 17th so I will share those cards with you sometime after that. I am going to pack up my house and try to move so have so much to do it will be overwhelming and I have to be back to Davenport IA for my new job that I am am hoping to get. I will keep you posted on that too.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. God Bless, Bev

SU Affection Collection Birthday card

Good morning stamping friends. BRRRR! it is zero degrees here this morning. That is okay though as I don't need to go anywhere anyway. I have a busy day inside with designing cards for my stamp a stack and doing laundry. I finished my Thanksgiving cards and mailed them with those Brushed Bronze Buttons and it cost 20 cents more a card to mail. Yikes! So my nephew's birthday is now and this was his card. No ribbons or brads or nothing for an easy mailer card. I used the Affection Collection that I just love from the Holiday Catalog. I hope they carry this set over.  I used blues and gray for the images and then die cut it out with the Window Frames Framelits. I color spritzed it and stamped Happy Birthday and got it done.

I am sort of sick of stamping holiday cards so this set gave me a needed break for a bit. I just love the versatility this set gives, don't you?  It is almost the end of November and I am giddy about what is coming from Stampin' UP!
Wait till you see the next catalog which is the Spring Catalog. It is sooo amazing and I called Stampin' Up to tell them to quit coming out with such cute stuff. LOL! I am not kidding, I need to win the lottery quick. Ha ha, I don't even buy lottery tickets.  Anyway, onto my non holiday card.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Affection Collection,  Beautiful Birthday
Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
Inks: Not Quite Navy, Night of Navy Ink Pad and Marker, Marina Mist, Basic Gray
Tools and   Accessories: Big Shot, Window Frames Framelits, Color Spritzing Tool, Dimensionals.
I hope you have a terrific weekend and I pray that you didn't get trampled on shopping on Back Friday when you can just shop here:www.funtostamp.stampinup.net
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs and Happy Stamping,

Friend Card with Affection Collection

Happy TGIF stamping friends. I had a good day as when I went to work my boss came in to do payroll and she told me I only needed to work till 4: 00. I was elated. I came home and checked my email and answered all that and then decided since some people got a frost last night I would go to my neighbors to get some more tomatillos to make some more Salsa Verde. I went over there and had called Mom on my cell to check in for the day and my friend that I hadn't talked to in a while called me while I was talking to Mom so I told her I would call her back. By then I was in my car going to my neighbors. I had called him at the restaurant  he owns to make sure it was okay. So then I called my friend back and was talking to her  on my way over and we chatted awhile and I got out with my bags to pick. Well we hung up and I continued picking. I have a hooded sweatshirt on because it is cool out. I stuck my phone in my pouch. I picked a big bag of them and then I tripped and my phone must have fallen out of my pouch. Ah the sagas of my life. I get to my car and realize I do not have my phone. Crap, his garden was a mess of vines all over so I traced my steps of where I had gone. Nope couldn't find it. I go back to my car to see if I had put it in my bag and then went over to check out what their big dog was chewing on and Thank God it wasn't my phone. LOL! I put my garden gloves on and go back to the garden and move back vines all over and low and behold there it was. I was so lucky and happy. I called Mom and all she could say was oh God! Like I tell ya girl you always have so many problems.....thanks Mom for the support/. LOL!

Okay enough on to my card. When this set came out in the holiday catalog I bought it on my first order, I have so many dear friends thanks to my Stampin' UP! business. I send out a lot of friend cards to let them know I am thinking of them and  that I appreciate them as my friend. I know exactly who I am going to send this too also. I stamped this for the FABFRIDAY challenge which was a color challenge. It was Basic Gray which is my card base and one tag and an image and the image in the corner and Designer Button, Sahara Sand which was another tag and the stamped image, then So Saffron which was my top layer of Card Stock  and I died the white Bakers Twine to match with just inking up a sponge and pulling my twine under my sponge. I used the color spritzer also with my Basic Gray Marker to add some dimension to the card and then sponged the edges in the Sahara Sand ink. to me I am not to crazy about the color combo but I guess my card turned out cute.

Here are the details:
Stamp Set: Affection Collection
Card Stock: Basic Gray, So Saffron, Sahara Sand
Inks: Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Basic Gray ink pad and marker
Tools and Accessories: Color Spritzer Tool, Natural Designer Buttons, Bakers Twine, Mini  Glue Dots, Stapler.
So tomorrow I work almost 13 hours so I will not be posting tomorrow night. I will probably be back on Sunday. Thanks for all the lovely comments you leave and thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed weekend. Hugs, Bev

Blue Ribbon and Affection Collection Friend Card

Hi stamping friends, oh wow am I tired. I got up early to finish laundry and finish up cleaning and get to the store to get what I needed to finish my burritos. I even got some Triple Chip cookies baked and my family should be here about 6 something. I hope they will feel at home when they get here and then I will be back later. Of all days to have to go to election judge training. I am going to miss Michael Phelps and the girls all around gymnastics to I think darn it.Oh well, I am sure I will live. LOL!

On my card I used Cherry Cobbler as my base and the then layered a piece of the World Spectacular DSP. I used the pennant and greeting from Affection Collection set and I stamped the greeting and the ribbon in Cherry Cobbler ink on Natural Whites CS  and the pennant is with Island Indigo ink. The other 2 pennants are from the World Spectacular DSP and I popped them up with Dimensionals. I fussy cut the ribbon.  I used the Viola's Lace builder wheel with Daffodil Delight ink and fussy cut it out.  I layered that over a strip of the same DSP. I stamped the Best in Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. I tied Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine around my banner.

Affection Collection Friend Card

Hi stamping friends, a quick post here tonight as I am in shock. I just heard Michael Phelps didn't medal. OMG I can't believe it. I have been stamping swap cards and watching the Olympics all day. I just have to put the greeting banners on my swap cards and I will be done. While I had the Affection Collection set out I made this card. My embelishment is the Bitty Buttons because it has a heart shaped button and I tied the Calypso Coral Baker's Twine through it. I stapled the NO. 1 banner onto the card and bent it up a bit. I think this card turned out very cute and was pretty easy. Don't you? I adore this stamp set.

It has been an absolutely beautiful day here and my lawn got mowed today and it looks so nice.Tomorrow I need to weed my garden. It is way overgrown even though I don't have too much in it. So what is on your plate this weekend. I am trying to get some things ready for my sisters and Mom are here. They come next Thursday night. I hope to still be able to blog while they are here. Looks like we may get a storm tonight. YAY! I could be a storm chaser did you know that about me? Probably not, LOL!

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Affection Collection
Card Stock: Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
Inks: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray
Tools: Bitty Buttons, Baker's Twine, Stapler
So that is it for today bleeps and I hope you are enjoying the Olympics too. I love this time of year even though I like the swimming and gymnastics the best I was watching it all and cheering to the TV. I hope my Mojo starts again but I am taking the week off doing any challenges I think. I have to think about cleaning the house and such. Cooking too. I hope you have a great weekend and if I can get a card stamped I will show your tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and I love to read all the comments. Hugs, Bev

Affection Collection Friend Card

Hi stamping bleeps, I got up this morning and drinking my cup of Joe I had this Affection Collection stamp set sitting on my desk. I was going to start my swap cards and then this card came to mind and my Mojo started working. I was reflecting on how many great friends I have made because of STAMPIN' UP! and feel so loved and blessed. I truly believe that being a STAMPIN' UP!  demonstrator has changed my life. I am eternally grateful. So pretty soon this card came to me so I can send it to one of my #1 friends. I made this card and then realized I better address two birthday cards to mail and jumped in the shower. I had a haircut appointment this morning in town and then went to pick raspberries at my friends house next door. Now I have raspberries to clean and freeze and still haven't done my last swap card but this might be it. I have a good idea though to use to make it different. This was a very easy card and right now I need easy. Oh did I tell you two of my sisters and my Mom are coming next weekend.I am so excited! Crap, I have to clean my house and get rid of some clutter.I have a busy time before they get here. Oh well. It will be nice to have them here.

On my card I used Crumb Cake for my base card and then used another piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and textured it with the Chevron EF. Then I stamped the No.1 banner in Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red onto Whisper White Card Stock and fussy cut those out. I wish we had a punch to match that. Wouldn't that be cool or better yet a Framelits banner set that was different and bigger from the Bitty Banners Framelits?  I would love that. I strung the white Bakers Twine around my card and used a dimensional to pop up the banners along the twine. Then I made a banner with the Friend stamped on it and pit a Designer Button on it and also wrapped the Twine around the other side of the greeting banner. I hope you like my card as I think it is darling. I know but what can I say? I like it.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Affection Collection
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Inks: Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red
Tools: Big Shot, Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Designer Buttons, Bakers Twine, Dimensionals.
I want to thank you for stopping by my blog and I love reading all the comments. Have a honey of a day and bee happy. Hugs, Bev

Affection Collection Friend card for colourq

Hi again bleeps. I am back to share with you a ColourQ#146 challenge that I decided to do again this week. I love this new Etruscan Elegance jumbo wheel and then embossing it with the Lacy Brocade makes it so pretty. And this Affection Collection that is a Sneak Peak of the Holiday Catalog also. So basically besides the card stock and ribbon it is all new stuff that we could preorder from the Holiday Catalog. Ah, the perks of being a demonstrator.   I love love love how this card turned out with the colors of the ColourQ challenge this week. What do you think?

This is one of the sets they get at Convention in their convention bags.  :( how I wish I was there. I used the crumb cake as my card base and then stamped the no 1 banner stamp in Real Red and the design that so mimics the background so well I stamped in black and cut that out with the Window Frames Framelits also new. The FRIEND I stamped in Real Red onto Pear Pizzazz and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch as that is the shape in the design. I colored some Basic Pearls with a Red Sharpie and put those on the design. I sponged Pear Pizzazz around the Window Frames Framelits. I tied Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the card and then popped up the design with dimensionals.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets and Wheel: Affection Collection, Etruscan Elegance
Card Stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Inks: Black, Real Red,Pear Pizzazz
