Yay, the weekend! OMG is was so hot yesterday. I came home did my normal check email and blog comments and SU website and all and then stamped this card for a friend that needed it. I then went for a 3 mile walk as it had really cooled off nice. It was hot in my house though. UGH no air. I must be nuts! Oh well, I took a cool shower and then I was fine. Except the battle with mosquitoes trying to bite me too. Geesh! I tried to relax in bed but the buzzing around my ear drove me nuts. I think I must have finally fallen asleep with the sheets over my head. LOL! It is a cool sunny morning and I need to finish up on swaps and run some errands.
On this card I used the Memorable Moments set and Papaya Collage set with Bravo Burgundy and River Rock Card Stock. I used the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders and the Large Scallop Edgelits and then tied some discontinued Lace ribbon around it and stamped the floral image on Very Vanilla masking the flowers. I cut that out with the Labels Collection Framelits and then stamped the Happy 40th right onto the River Rock. Pretty quick card really and Easy Peasy!

Hi stamping friends, ooohh isn't this background pretty? This is a sneak peak out of the Holiday Catalog that should be available soon. I don't think I have ever been more happy or proud that I am a SU demonstrator. I tell you what, lately I have made two big mistakes on orders and I called our demo support right away and they fixed the mistakes I made. Just like that. I had screwed myself out of $65 hostess dollars and you know they gave it to me even though it was my mistake. Yes, I am so happy to be a SU demo. To get my hands on the darling stamps and big shot framelits and DSP it is just so unbelievable! I am so happy I am giving out blog candy starting today. I will give you the details later in this post.
On this card I used the flower from the Papaya Collage set and I masked the flowers to get them all together and stamped them in Rose Red. Then cut out the leave and used the Labels Framelits and stamped the Happy Birthday with the Beautiful Birthday stamp which I think is so pretty. It comes only in a wood mount. The base color is Early Espresso and textured with the new Lacy Brocade EF. I love the design in it. The DSP is the Festival of Prints which is a paper stack in the Holiday Catalog. Then I just made a banner out of Rose Red CS. Added the pearls to finish it off. I think it came out so pretty, don't you? Those flowers are so pretty and all you have to do is stamp them. Easy Peasey!

Hi stamping friends, I hope your week is going great. As I was eating my breakfast this morning I looked out and saw my Delphiniums in full bloom and I was thinking of how beautiful they are. They are such a beautiful bluish purple color that I couldn't copy very well with any of our inks. I just looked at the calendar and can't believe it is almost July, where has the time gone? I haven't even gone camping or fishing yet. Dang! YAY though you can get the Reason to Smile Stamp set for only $5. with a $50.00 purchase in July and us demos get to order from the Holiday Catalog. I can't wait and am happy that is one of our perks as being a demonstrator.
I stamped the frame here in Cajun Craze and then used the Netting background to make it as if you were looking through the screen. I stamped the frame on typing paper and cut out the inside of the frame to use as a mask for the screen stamp. I stamped a second frame and popped it up with dimensionals. I stamped the flowers in Concord Crush and then used the Island Indigo on top of the ink to make them sort of two tone. I used the Papillon Potpourri for the butterfly. The tag is the Apothecary Accents and the words are from One In A Million stamp set. I am really happy with the way it came out, what do you think? I added little pearls on the top and bottom of the little flairs on the frame. You can hardly see them in my picture. I should have probably added them to the tag too but I didn't.

TGIF stamping friends. I hope you all have a great holiday weekend and let us keep those fond memories of loved ones in a special place in our hearts. I wanted to go tent camping this weekend but it is supposed to be cold and wet so I decided to go to work tomorrow instead. I didn't have anyone to go camping with anyway. I hope you have some great plans for your long weekend. I want to apologize for not posting anything for a couple of days. I have been tired so came home last night and checked my email and went to lay down and slept all night practically. My life is stressful right now with a lot of stuff going on at work and other things.
This was my swap card for my meeting and I used the new stamp set Papaya Collage and a new Hostess Set Wacky Words plus the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. I sort of tried to make this look like a window with the view of the leaves out the window. I stamped the image in two greens and then popped up the piece of Wild Wasabi Card Stock with Dimensionals. I wanted to show you the rest of the cards but the battery is dead in my camera. Yes, I am not surprised as it is the way my life is going these days. I found out a squirrel chewed through the wiring on my car and that is what is wrong with it. I tell you I think I will move back to city where I can have a garage.
