Googly Ghouls Halloween Card for FMS

Good morning stamping friends. Well, I thought I would be waking up to snow but it isn't here yet. It isn't here yet but should be shortly as it is over in Grand Forks ND which is 2 hours West of us here. Wet heavy snow and very windy so poor visibility. Lovely, we do need the moisture though so that is good. Maybe the trees will survive. My pines and evergreens are looking stressed even because  of the drought. Okay onto my card, I need to get in the shower this morning for work.

I stamped this card for Freshly Made Sketches. The base I used is Basic Gray with Tangerine Tango instead of Black that you always see for Halloween. The base of my card is Basic Gray that I stamped the Distressed Dots with Basic Gray ink. I used a strip of  Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP and layered it over Tangerine Tango. I stamped the Happy Halloween in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the Word Window and then layered that over the Modern Label Punch and attached it with Dimensionals. I tied the Striped Satin Ribbon around my card. Then I stamped the Dracula on Whisper White Card Stock with Basic Gray Card Stock. I cut it out with the Window Frames Collection Framelits and then cut out the next bigger framelit with Tangerine Tango and use the Festive Paper Piercing Pack on that piece. I added the Googlies to the Dracula and ooohh isn't he scary? LOL!

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Googly Ghouls, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Distressed Dots
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP
Ink: Basic Gray
Tools and  Accessories: Big Shot, Window Frames Collection Framelits, 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Googlies, Dimensionals.
I hope you have a terrific day and bless you for stopping by, and leave me a comment if you please.

For The Birds DSP Thinking Of You

Happy Thursday stamping friends. YAY I got my stewed tomatoes all done so when I am done with this I will blanch a bunch more to can later. What a relief! 4 flats of tomatoes to go and I work the next 3 days putting in almost 30 hours. UGH my but will be dragging so not sure how much I will be blogging. I do have my meeting cards to share with you though too.

I wanted to do this Retro Sketch as always and then my friend LeAnne Pugliese at www.weeinklings.blogspot.com had this other challenge which was Polka Dots and if you no me you know I love Polka Dots, so of course I had to play in that challenge too. Thanks LeAnne. LOL! I made a real easy card using the For The Birds DSP and Crumb Cake Card Stock. I had to make an easy card with watching the Pressure Cooker. My Banner uses Curly Cute and my Crumb Cake card base is stamped with Distressed Dots background stamp. I did layer the DSP onto the same size Crumb Cake Card Stock to make it sturdier. Then I fussy cut out two little birdies to put on my tag. Polka dots galore. Didn't it turn out cute? I love it and hope you will too.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Distressed Dots, Curly Cute
Card Stock and DSP: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, For the Birds DSP
Inks: Crumb Cake, Island Indigo
Tools and Accessories: 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, Dimensionals
Ha easy card eh? I hope you will let me know what you think and as always thanks for stopping by. Live Laugh Love Stamp.
Hugs, Bev

Thanksgiving Card with Seasonal Sayings

Happy Saturday stamping friends. Wow, it is already 7:00. I wanted to make this pumpkin I have seen in several places but can't remember where.  So if it was from you let me know and I will link it to you. I made mine a bit different that what I remember. Oh,  does it ever feel like fall here today. Very windy and cool temps and  leaves dropping and blowing around. I have been doing a mix of things today. I went to take garbage into town this morning and stopped by to drop off a birthday card for my old boss. I was going to get my hair cut too but the shop was closed. On my way home my neighbor wanted me to take some of his tomatillos so I made Salsa Verde today. It was good but I had to add more hot peppers for my liking. It doesn't have any vinegar in it so I couldn't process it so I will be giving it away and eating it myself.   YUMMY!  I had it on my avocado and tacos for supper. Pretty tasty. Give me shout out if you want the recipe.

For my card I used the Large Oval punch and the Polka Dot Parade DSP and then sponged around the ovals with Pumpkin Pie ink. I made the stem by using the Timber Wheel in Chocolate Chip Ink onto Chocolate Chip Card Stock and then textured it with the Woodgrain EF. I add the Linen thread that I had wrapped around a pencil for a while and snailed it to the back. It was really pretty easy and I love that "Thanks is for Giving" stamp from the Seasonal Sayings Set, don't you?  I felt like I had dots before my eyes with all the polka dots. Tee Hee. I think everything else is pretty self explanatory so I will give you the info below. This is going to be the make and take for my downline monthly meeting so if you are one of my out of town gals I will be making you one to have as well as the swap cards.   For the jar I used the Friendship Preserves and cut it out with the Window Frames Collection Framelits and the DSP  on top is Orchard Harvest and I cut it out the the Large Scallop Die on the Big Shot.  I am going to give it to my BFF at church tomorrow that has given me so many veggies.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Distressed Dots, Seasonal Sayings, Timber Wheel
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Tools and Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,  Apothecary Accents Framelits, Large Oval Punch,  1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, Linen Thread, Wheel Handle, Vintage Trinkets, Dimensionals, Sponge.

Male Thinking of You Card

Hello stamping friends. Today I wanted to show you a card I made for a guy that I went to visit yesterday in the hospital. He is 88 and has a brain tumor and was sleeping when I got there so I don't even think he knew I was there. I tried to shake his arm but I am sure he is so heavily medicated that he was out. Then I remembered I had promised to make some cards for soldiers so I stamped a few of the same cards so I could give some to the Operation Write Home team that takes cards for soldiers. I asked my down line to stamp 5 to 10 cards also and follow the OWH guidelines. I once again was using up Designer Series Paper that I have to use before it is discontinued and this is the Well Worn DSP this time. I made several different cards out of it! How do you think this card turned out?  I really like it.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Distressed Dots, Curly Cute
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy, Well Worn DSP
Inks: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, 3-1/2" Circle Die, 3" Circle Die, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Regals Brads, Sponge, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack, Dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by today and if you want to order any of these products you see click on my shop now button.  Or have any questions on how I make my card drop me an email. Now remember to create something cute. Hugs, Bev
