Clean and Simple Card Challenge

Monday Monday, wow I need to get going. A day of phone calls about my house inspection and talking to friends and now I need to get ready for work. It is a crisp Fall day here but nice.

I stamped this card for the Clean and Simple challenge which was a layout challenge. My card base is Midnight Muse and my second layer is retired Confetti Vanilla. I have a hole stack of it I need to use up.  Anyway I used the wonderful Gorgeous Grunge and stamped on of the images in Midnight Muse and the other in Pool Party. Geesh ,are you sick of that color yet? I have done a lot of cards with it and then when I looked at the color coach this was the choice again. I added some Candy Dots and it just looked too naked so I added the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder. Then I stamped the Thank You which is from the Photopolymer Another Thank You and wow do I love that set. I  don't think you can ever have enough thank you's, do you? You could make this card a birthday or thinking of you or even a sympathy.

Here are the supplies;
Card Stock: Midnight Muse 126843, Confetti Vanilla (retired)

That is it, clean and simple.  I certainly hope you will check out the blog for Clean and Simple. There are some darling cards. I need to scoot off to work so have a great day and just so you know I am here to help you with your stamping needs. Well I am a good cook and gardener so I could help you with that too. LOL!  Happy stamping, Bev

Daydream Medallions Happy Anniversary Clean and SImple Challenge

Good morning stamping friends, well after waking up yesterday to rain, it is nice to see the sunshine. I planned on going to pick blueberries yesterday but my car was dead and there were thunderstorms predicted so I got my place cleaned instead.

I also had some time to stamp.  I ran across this Clean and Simple challenge so this is the card I came up with. I needed a Happy Anniversary card for a friend so I designed it to fit that challenge.
I used the In Colors Designer Paper Stack for my background and per the Color Coach I used Smoky Slate with Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral ink and Card Stock. I used the Daydream Medallions stamp set and the the Happy Anniversary is a Non Stampin' UP! stamp and from Inkadinkadoo. I used the Floral Framelits  that match the Daydream Medallions and  then punched a circle with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and textured it with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. I also used the Adorning Accents Edgelits for the Scallop Border. I didn't like the banner covering the flower but that is the layout.
Oh well I really used my Big Shot on this card and let me tell you I love that Magnetic Platform.

Make sure you  check out the other creative cards for this sketch challenge here: http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/2013/07/248.html

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day.  I hope you have time to do something fun.  Let me know what you think of my card if you will. Happy stamping and scrapping, Bev

Yes Your'e Amazing

Happy Monday stamping friends, I just realized that  May is coming fast. I can't believe it, where is the time going? My family is coming this weekend to clear stuff out of Mom's to get it ready to sell and I need to think about packing up my boxes of stamp stuff to put in the garage I guess. I have been calling on places to move to but  I haven't found anything yet. It will be nice to see my siblings that don't live around here too. The forsythia is almost in full bloom in front of Mom's and it is so pretty. I will have to share a picture with you when it gets full.

On to my card. I stamped this card for the Clean & Simple card challenge and since this Not Quite Navy is being retired....(let me get a tissue to wipe my tears), I figured I might as well make up some male looking cards.  My base is Not Quite Navy and Ivory Naturals next and then two strips of Parker's Patterns DSP from the Spring Catalog which has such rich beautiful colors. You should buy it before it is gone. Then I took a strip of Not Quite Navy and textured it on my Big Shot with the Chevron EF. I stamped the Elephant from the Your'e Amazing  Stamp Set twice. I cut out the Early espresso one with the Label Framelits and then just cut out the party hat on the Not Quite Navy inked one. I stamped the oh happy Day from my favorite SAB Set Bloomin' Marvelous that is retired now and then popped it up with Dimensionals that I cut down. I made a banner with for my Teeny Tiny Wishes greeting and then stamped off to stamp some party hats on that too. I sponged around the edges everywhere. I thought it turned out cute, don't you?

Thank you for stopping by and just shoot me an email if you have any questions about my card.
Have a blessed day. Hugs, Bev
I hope you will play along with this challenge too and here is the link: http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/

Birds Birds Birds

Hi there, I am back again and no I am not thinking of the Alfred Hitchcock move The Birds. LOL! Woo Hoo! It is supposed to be a beautiful and warm day today. I have errands to run too but first I wanted to post this.

I thought I would share this darling layout from Clean & Simple Stamping also. I saw it when I went to post my other card for this site and stamped this card yesterday. I had this piece of Pool Party  that I had already embossed when I got this darling bird texture folder at Jo Ann's. I wanted to try it out so I just cut it down to fit. I know it's not a Stampin' UP! thing sorry. Me bad!  But isn't it cute? I used the Tea Lace Doilies again. Those are a gotta have thing. I sponged Pool Party ink onto it and then I punched out a circle with my 2-1/2" Circle Punch from the retired SAB Sycamore Street DSP. I snipped off the edge on the doily and my circle of DSP like the sketch did. Then with Island Indigo Ink and Whisper White Card Stock I stamped that cute bird from Betsy's Blossom set which I had on my table. I stamped it and then quickly stuck it into Clear Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool. When it was embossed and cooled, I fussy cut it out. Ha, I was stamping another card when I was wearing my new contacts which by the way are not correct so I really shouldn't have been stamping and fussy cutting since they are kind of blurry. I won't even share that card on my blog because it looks like heck. LOL! This bird turned out much better. I added a little Basic Rhinestone and popped him up with a Dimensional. Then with my Island Indigo Marker I inked up the words only from one of the stamps from For The Birds stamp set and stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock and then die cut it with the Bitty Banners Framelits. I used the little birdy from the Elements Cute Clips from the Spring Catalog to attach to my greeting banner. Like I said, birds birds birds. I also used my marker and the Color Spritzer Tool to spritz color on my card also. I love it when I have a layout to stamp from as it makes it easier for me to play along with the Card Sketch Challenge. Let me know what you think of my card. I thought it turned out cute. :-)
