Miss You Open Sea card from Stampin' UP!

Hi stamping and scrapping friends, happy Thursday. Wow, I came home so tired from work today. I checked my email and  S U website and then took a nap and I woke up 2 hours later. I wanted to make sure that I posted today in honor of Flag Day. I don't have any red in here but using this set made me sort of thinking like maybe this ship was full of congressman on their way to commemorate the adoption of  the US flag back in 1777. Okay so that was a long stretch you think. Well I will continue to think that and posting this in honor of Flag Day.

I cased this technique out of our Stampin' Success the magazine we get monthly that has all these wonderful ideas in them. Want to get it to? Just join my Bev's Busy Bees team for only $99.00 and you can. Anyway you know those wonderful Label Framelits Stampin' UP! has? I love love love them. You make a mask by cutting out two of the largest framelit, one from card stock and one from copy paper. Then take the next smaller framelit and center it on the copy paper label and cut that out. You should have a thin strip and you will use that for your mask. Then using a repositional glue like dotto (which we no longer sell) lay down that thin mask all around your framelit on the outside edge obviously. Then using a dauber I used the night of navy ink to sponge right inside the copy paper line. I then stamped my design and then I peeled the copy paper off and removed any glue with my adhesive remover. And wah la, I have a frame around my framelit.  Isn't it so cool?  I love how it turned out. I made it a miss you card and kind of wish I had a guy to send it to but dang it I don't. You could easily make this a Father's day card. The DSP comes from Twitterpated DSP . Let me know what you think.

Here are the Details:
Stamp Sets: Open Sea, For The Birds
Card Stock: Night Of Navy, Whisper White, Twitterpated DSP, copy paper
