Good morning stamping friends, it is a nice sunny day but I saw frost on my car this morning. BRRR! it must be cold. I am going to go to a hospital up north today to visit a local resident that is 88 and in the hospital with a brain tumor. He is a real nice man and I thought maybe I could cheer him up a little. That is on my plate today.
We had a fun and relaxing meeting last night. Eat Drink and Stamp, ain't life grand? LOL! I have such a great group of gals in my down line, I am really happy with them. Do you wanna join too? We have a lot of fun.
This was the card we made last night and I cased the idea from Tami White but made my card a whole lot different. You put the Beautiful Butterflies Die through the Big Shot with a window sheet to make a mask. Then lay it down on your card stock and with a sponge dauber that is inked up you burnish the color onto the card stock inside the window sheet mask. Then you take any design and with black ink you stamp the image over the burnished color inside the mask and this is what it looks like. OOOHHHH isn't is just boootiful? Okay do I hear clapping? I thought so. LOL! I did this technique two times stamping one on my card and the other one I cut out. I wrapped the bakers twine around it and put dimensions inside towards the body part of the butterfly so it would give it more dimension. I made the antennas by rolling a mini glue dot and then pressing the bakers twine against it. I use mini glue dots also to attach the Lace Ribbon Border Punch so you can't see all the snail. I am going to make this card at my party on the 21st. I know my customers will like it.
Here are the details:
