How to pretty up a card in a jiffy

Happy Sunday stamping friends. I hope your weekend is going great. Mine has been busy but fun. I drove up to Iowa City yesterday to take my darling niece Haley who turned 24 out for her birthday.  I am still house hunting to try to find the affordable thing for me.  I woke up with a migraine this morning and was supposed to go to lunch with some of my Mom's friends but I didn't want to go feeling like this so I am going to take it easy today. House hunt on line I guess.

I am sharing a card I made the other day that literally took me 5 minutes to make. The hardest thing was threading the button with the Baker's Twine. LOL! I used the Happy Day set for the flower in Crushed Curry ink that I stamped directly on the Very Vanilla Card Stock and inked up the Off The Grid set and stamped off first using Wisteria Wonder ink then stamped on the background to cover up the naked space.  Then with the Coastal Cabana Ink stamped the Thank you greeting from the Lots of Thanks stamp set. I cut a short piece of the Afternoon Picnic DSP and underneath took the most darling  ribbon SU has ever come out with. It is the In Color 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim. Isn't it flirty and cute? I love it and it was so fast to work with. I took my Coastal Cabana marker and colored one of the  Very Vintage Designer Buttons.  I thought it turned out so cute for a quick card. Don't you with the perfect texture and color. No challenge for this card just stamped it for a thank you that I needed. I chose my colors from the DSP colors.  Let me know what you think.

  2. For a "quick" card this fantastic! Love the crushed curry lacey circle thingy? on there and the ribbon is great.Vx I spent my weekend - Saturday designing and prepping for workshop. Saturday night movies and dinner out. Sunday - workshop. Late Sunday afternoon walk in Daisy Hill Forest Park (didn't see any koalas or wallabies though. sigh. Was hoping to catch a glimpse as they are there).
