SU Swallowtail Poppin' Pastels Card

Happy Tuesday stamping buddies. Oh man it is getting close to the end of S U Sale-A-Bration and I have so many cards to show you yet.  Have your ordered everything you wanted already? Let me know by email if you haven't. I had a lazy Monday really. After, Zumba I came home and  cleaned up and then fixed some chicken and spinach tacos and then sat down to read a bit and fell asleep. Then snow stopped but the wind started and it ended up getting colder. So I ran some errands and that was about it. Today it looks like the skies are clear. YAY! Vitamin D.

I haven't done this Poppin' Pastels Technique for ever so I thought I would try it with this Swallowtail and I liked the way it turned out. On this technique you ink  up your stamp with the Versamark Ink Pad and stamp it on your card stock. Then taking cotton balls and your Stampin' Pastels, you rub the cotton ball on your chalk and then  just dab it (don't rub) onto the card stock where you stamped the image with Versamark and the image comes alive with color. I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Marina Mist colored chalks and used a cotton ball for each color. The I used the eraser to remove some of the chalk residue when I was done. It comes out soft and muted. I took a piece of Marina Mist Card Stock which is the base of my card and textured it with the Fancy Fan Texture Folder and punched the edge with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I snailed that to my card. Then I stamped the You Mean So Much image with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch and added two little Basic Pearls to the sides of the tag and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. It was pretty easy really and it is prettier in person than on here I think.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Swallowtail, Petite Pairs
Card Stock: Marina Mist, Very Vanilla
Inks: Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad, Versamark
Tools and Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Floder, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Stampin' Pastels, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals , Cotton Balls (from your bathroom : ) )

I hope you have a terrific day and I am praying that in your area you are getting ready for Spring. I see the neighbors tulips and daffodils have popped out of the ground so that is a good sign.  Thank you for stopping by and happy stamping.
LIVE LOVE LAUGH STAMP!   Hugs, Bev
