Happy Birthday Black Magic Sunday Stamping Technique

Happy Blessed Palm Sunday stampers. Oh wow the sun is shining brightly now after an early morning rain. Windy but so nice from inside anyway. I need to be cleaning and unpacking boxes and will do that after I finish posting this card. But first I have a technique to share with you today that I haven't done in years called Black Magic with a twist. OH MY GOD isn't it just so purdy? It really is quite easy peasy too. I love purdy and easy peasy on a card both at the same time. So let me tell you how to do this since I can't show you how. Dang it anyway. You need Black card stock and  White Craft Ink. You stamp your image in the White Craft ink and then heat set it with your heat tool. Then you take Watercolor Pencils and color in the designs. You should have a light and a dark companion color of greens for the stems and leaves and then I did 4 colors as I wanted the middle flower different color. So I took two pinks and then yellow and orange. The pencils don't have our color names on them so I can't give you those. Then you take your White Gel Pen and put dots where you think are appropriate.  Be creative and use any design and any colors as long as you have a light and darker color. I love how this card looks in person.Very Beeauuuutiful!

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Simply Soft and Curly Cute
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White
Inks: White Craft Ink, Watercolor Pencils, Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi Markers, White Gel Pen
Accessories: Big Shot, Edgelits Adorning Accents, Sponge, Dimensionals

Don't you like how my edgelits match up so nicely? Well, I bought two sets so I could put them through the Big shot at the same times and my edges would match perfectly. I know aren't I a smartie pants?  LOL! Just kidding.  Also to keep those skinny little buggers in place I use Dotto which is a temporary adhesive to keep them from moving around and you can find Dotto in our catalog.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great rest of the weekend. I hope you can do something creative.
Hugs, Bev

  1. Hey, lady! Nice card! I really like this technique! Just kinda pops!

I'm sorry it took me so long to get back with you. Tommy has a TaeKwonDo tournament coming up and he doesn't quite have his forms memorized, so we've been going to TKD EVERY night! Not to mention flag football twice a week. We always just seem to be go go going!

I'm doing okay! Could stand to win the lottery, but doing okay! ;)
