Bright Birthday Card

Is anyone else anxious for Spring? I sure am and we are supposed to get a big snow storm tonight so today I stamped this springy card and then made a big pot of chili just in case I am snowed in for a few days. (I hope so!!!!) MMM MMM MMMM it tasted so good too.

Stampin' UP! is coming out with a new diagonal score plate that will be available to purchase in March for $11.95. Well, one of the perks of being a demonstrator is you get to order things earlier than the customers do so I got mine today. I of course had to get it out and play with it. It sits right on top of the score pal and has an arrow on the back to show which way to lay it on it. I scored a piece of Concord Crush card stock to try it on and it was so cool almost felt like corduroy. So I punched out a flower using the new Blossom Punch....don't you just love that punch. OMG I do. LOL,if you know how I am I couldn't stop there so pretty soon I get out some matching designer paper and start making this card. So this is what I came up with. I sure hope you like it too. I punched the blossom out of Lucky Limeade and then layered a piece of the Cheerful Treat DSP behind where I punched. Then I punched out one more flower out of Melon Mambo CS and layered them and added the middle of the flower from the Mixed bunch set and then added a Flower Brad and put a Mini Pearl (HA HA not the real Minnie Pearl!) just a small basic pearl on top of the flower brad. I thought it turned out so stinkin' cute. I know I would have loved to get this card for my birthday yesterday so I am sure someone else will like it too. Anyway below are the Supplies and look, no big shot used(LOL):
