Just Some Pretty Simpleness

Hello stamping peeps! Yay, it is the weekend! I am doing laundry and cleaning out my freezer. It is supposed to be closer to 40 degrees so want to go out to enjoy this nice weather. I have a busy day and want to stamp some if I have time so this will be quick.

I actually stamped this so long ago I really had to think of what color I used. Geesh!  I think it is So Saffron with the same color DSP. I simply stamped the pretty flower design in Happy Watercolor and colored it in with blender pen. I die cut with the Ovals Collection Framelits. Added some White Taffeta Ribbon and stamped the Sympathy  greeting on it and there you have it. Easy huh!

Let me know if you have any questions. Have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by.

Remember when you watercolored as a kid?

Well hello strangers. Yes, I know it has been forever. I apologize for missing in action but the desire to blog or even stamp has really not been there. I am hoping and praying it comes back soon. The holidays are over (Thank God). They were difficult to say the least without Mom. Anyway, it is a new day, a new year and this year is going to be a great one. I just know it. I have faith that it will be.

So do you remember those little watercolor strips of color and cheap bristle brushes in those watercolor sets as a kid? Well it just became a whole lot easier even though I actually think they still sell them.  Well, this new Occasions Catalog is the bomb with new beautiful things. This card uses a set called Happy Watercolor which I love. This was a card I stamped for my sister as her gift of cards.  The Card Stock was Wisteria Wonder and Very Vanilla. The ribbon was retired.  I simply stamped the flower in Early Espresso and then with the watercolor blob stamp I stamped in Wisteria Wonder and stamped the greeting in a retired set in Wisteria Wonder ink. I added some pearls to the middle of the flower and walla I was done. Very quick and easy but pretty I think, don't you?

Here are the details:
Stamp Set: Happy Watercolor 133191 Clear, 133188 Wood
Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder 122922, Very Vanilla 101650
Inks: Wisteria Wonder 126985, Early Espresso 126974
Tools and Accessories: Pearls Basic Jewels 119247, Snail Adhesive 104331

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day. We are so frozen outside that it is miserable and dangerous to go outside but I have been on a weight loss battle so haven't been just sitting around either. Move it move it you know. LOL! Have a blessed day and I hope to be back soon.

Love that Painters Tape Technique

Hi again stamping buds. Here is a card that I stamped last night  for a funeral today. My Mom's cousin passed away. I stamped it quick last night and talk about a quick simple card but nice. I love how it turned out don't you? It just amazes me what we can do with thinks in the hardware department at Ace Hardware.  Now I have seen videos on this where they say you have to use glossy card stock and I have proved them wrong.  This is the Naturals White Card Stock with my card base of Pool Party.  I cut out the greeting with the Apothecary Framelits and before I pushed the label out of the framelit I inked up my sponge and sponged inside the framelit which leaves a nice white edge. I added a couple of pearls and popped it up with dimensionals. The stripes are once again from Painter's Tape. I hope you aren't sick of that technique as I love it. LOL! And it is so quick and easy. I love that.

I just got home from the funeral and it was such a sweet tribute to my Mom's cousin. I felt so bad for his daughters Kimi and Tami. I was happy I got to know them a bit better today as they are both lovely ladies. It is a gorgeous day here today. I just got all the jars out of my car and thought it was this weekend my sister was coming back home from MT but it isn't till the 5th. I guess I was anxious.
