Stampin' UP! By The Tide Faux Tile Birthday Card

Hi stamping friends, wow it has been quite awhile since I posted last but my computer was out of commission for a time and just quit. So I kept checking it but I couldn't get it to work so I just shut it down and said, "okay God I get the message, start packing " so I did that. Moved some of my have to haves....music and stereo, some pots and pans, food, stamps, clothes and shoes. My friend packed up my car while I boxed things up. She had my car packed so tight there wasn't a space left. LOL! No kidding.
Anyway, when I got into Davenport I unpacked my car. I had to roll the windows down to get some of the stuff out of my car. Then I took my computer today to a computer fix it place and they turned it on and walla it worked. I couldn't believe it.  So here I am to post a card for you that I stamped before my computer didn't work. Wow we are getting snow here. YUCK! Come on Spring!

This card was made with the By The Tide stamp set. I used the Faux Tile technique which uses a Simply Scored tool and score lines going both directions on your card stock and then stamp the image or images. I love love love this stamp set for male cards. I am happy the Distressing Tool is back for sale in the Spring Mini and that is a have to have. It is so easy to hold in your hand. I stamped some of the images from By The Tide and then took my Baja Breeze Ink Pad and a sponge and rubbed the ink over to bring in the water color. The birthday greeting is from the retired set Happiest Birthdays I think it is called. Sorry after moving here to Davenport I don't have my stamps or old books to check. Sorry about that. I also tied some Linen Tread around the card and attached a Designer Button. And on my tag I used those darling Elements Cute Clips. So fun and yes they are cute too.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: By The Tide, Happiest Birthdays
Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, Naturals Ivory
Inks: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze
Tools and Accessories: Simply Scored, Elements Cute Clips, Distressing Tool, Linen Thread, Regals Designer Buttons, Sponge

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will let me know what your think of my card.
