Hello friends, here is a card I stamped before my family came to share and never posted it. I am not feeling good today as I have a horrible migraine I guess. YUCK! I just called into work a bit ago and am going back to bed after I finish this. Wow, did you watch the Olympics last night? Oh man, I cried watching that France's Oscar Pistorius, the runner with prosthetic legs. OMG is he a hottie or what? The nicest thing happened as he came in last in the qualifying heat but the winner of the heat Kirani James came over to him and took his bib name tag and gave him his. It was so emotional. The stories you hear are so amazing. Then McKayla Maroney who was the Gold Medal favorite in women's gymnastics ended up falling on her bumm. So shocking and sad. She didn't win the gold of course. After my family left I decided to relax on the couch in the afternoon and watching the news between the Olympics I hear about this attack on a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin so I quick call my brother that lives there and ask him where it was at. About 45 miles from him. What is wrong with people? This was at a temple where church was beginning to start & now 7 people dead. PRAY PRAY PRAY that is all I can say. Jeepers this world is getting so scary!
Alright, I wanted to try out that new Woodgrain EF so I was playing with it on this card. I love the way it looks. There are a lot of new things on my card from the Holiday Catalog that can't be called a mini anymore. LOL! The stamp set Seasonal Sayings, the Woodgrain EF, and the cool Button. I used Cajun Craze Card Stock and ink and used my Cajun Craze and Early Espresso markers to color the stamp. I used a circle punch to round off the edges.
Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Seasonal Sayings, Travel Journal Builder Wheel
Card Stock: Cajun Craze, Naturals Vanilla, Regals DSP Paper Stack
Inks: Cajun Craze Ink Pad and Marker, Early Espresso Marker
Tools: Big Shot, Window Frames Collection Framelits, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Jumbo Wheel Handle and Spindle, 1-1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Brushed Bronze Designer Button, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Sponge, Dimensionals.
I hope you have a merry Monday. Bless you for all your comments and for those stopping by to look. I am going back to bed now.
Hugs, Bev

Bev,
ReplyDeleteLove the woodgrain background and Fall feel of your card.
Hope you are feeling better. Glad you had a nice visit with your family.
That moment last night at the Olympics was so touching. What a shame there had to be such a tragedy in Wisc.
