Love Easy Card Layouts

Good Sunday afternoon stamping friends. I hope you are having a great weekend. I have Chicago Bears on TV and I think they are going to loose. :-(. I just put a beef roast in the oven so  I have something for supper. I really need to clean my stamp room too but it is so nice out I feel like I should enjoy the outside. I think I want to take a walk or something. Or rather I need to take a walk or ride my bike. Do something instead of sitting on my butt.

So on my card I used the Unscripted Sketches   layout for this weeks challenge. I had this Pool Party card base and second layer done already for a card I never made so looked at my Color Coach and this is the card I came up with the card I had started. I used the Circle Framelits for the Old Olive Circle and then got out my Paper Piercing Kits and with the Occasions Kit I used the Hearts to pierce the end of my Banner. Isn't that cute? I just discovered that it worked that way. Then I used the Essentials Kit to pierce around the circle. I stamped the mum from Creative Elements with Crushed Curry Ink and then there is a scalloped circle framelit in the new Circle Card Framelits which I haven't even used yet. So I die cut that and then sponged Pool Party Ink around it and popped it up with dimensionals. The greeting is from Thoughts and Prayers. It was an easy challenge and I like the way my card turned
out don't you? I love the color combo too. So pretty and crisp, don't you think.

Who Moved The Cheese?

Alright who moved my cheese to the plate and put a candle on it? LOL! Happy Wednesday stamping friends. Isn't this a cute image from Giggle Greetings? The inside greeting says "age is something that doesn't count unless you're a cheese " Giggle Giggle! Isn't it a darling stamp set?  I thought it would be perfect for the Unscripted Sketches Challenge. Make sure you check out the other cards for this sketch to.

I colored the image with my markers and then stamped it on Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 2-1/2 " Circle Punch. I sponged the Tea Lace Doily with Old Olive ink and a sponge. Then gathered it up and snailed it to the back of my design. Then used Dimensionals to attach it to my card. The Crushed Curry Card stock was Die Cut with the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die and then I textured it with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing Folder to mimic the cheese.  I snailed that to the Crumb Cake card base. The greeting was stamped with Old Olive ink using the Petite Pairs set. The design was a fun and quick sketch to play along with.

Unscripted Sketches and ColourQ back to school card

Yes, it is hump day stamping friends. STRESS to the MAX for me and about the only good thing was meeting a new stamping friend in town today. I dropped off catalogs to her. What a sweetheart she is. Then I went to work and was mailing something and one of my coworkers must have noticed that I wasn't my chipper self and asked me what was wrong. I lost it and started crying. I really wear my heart on my sleeve I guess. When my boss saw me she told me to go home and have a relaxing night. It is all about my house in MN. Anyway, I had decided I needed to stop at the grocery store before I got home and reached in my purse and my debit card was at home on the table. GRRRR! I asked if she would take a MN check and she said no. I was ready to tell her to never mind I couldn't pay when this angel behind me offered to pay for my groceries. I turned around and asked if I could get her name and number and she said she was just paying it forward. I broke out in tears as I told them I had such a stressful day that that was the nicest thing anyone could do for me right then. SO sweet.

Okay so about the card. The guy I clean for has little boys and the youngest is going to be starting school this year. Well, they look for me when I get there and try to tickle me when I get in the door.  They call me the "Tickle Monster"and I call them the "Tickle Ninja's". They are fun. I decided to use up some of my old DSP's and to make a card for them. So this is last year's Storytime Designer Series Paper.  Oh and did you notice my darling envelope. Yes, you can get the Envelope Liners in the Holiday Catalog and yes they are the coolest.

I used the layout for the Unscripted Sketches and used to ColourQ colors. I didn't have the right read so I used this DSP which is Riding Hood Red that is also retired. My base is the Basic Gray and I took a second layer that I textured with the Alphabet Press Texture Folder and then textured with the same folder a piece of Daffodil Delight that I had punched with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. I used the  I used the Oval Collection Framelits and the 2-1/2" Circle Punch  to cut out the DSP. Then I used Best Wishes from the retired set Wishes Your Way. The colors aren't exactly correct nor the layout but that is the best I could do today. LOL!

Shoot me an email if you have any ?? as how I made my card but it is pretty self explanatory I think.  I am exhausted mentallyso I think I will retire to bed. .
Have a great night my friends and make sure you stop by these links to check out all the cards: http://unscriptedsketches.com   and    http://www.colourq.blogspot.com
