Hi stamping buddies. Well, now that my nephew's wedding is over I can share their hand stamped card with you! It was such a lovely wedding and wow what a beautiful couple. Here they are in a black and white photo. Elliot and Reed Weiss. 10-19-2012
It was a beautiful wedding.
So here is the card I stamped for them.
My card base is Naturals White and then a layer Night of Navy card stock that I dry embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper EF. Then I embossed the stamp from the Layered Labels stamp set in Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut it with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. With a Sponge Dauber I sponged Night of Navy ink over it. I then punched out a heart with the Full Heart Punch and snailed it over the image. Then I made a banner and stamped Forever and Always from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. I sponged around the banner with Night of Navy and added Basic Pearls on each side.
I hope you have a honey of a day. Another rainy one here this morning and not much on my plate today so another day with Zumba practicing. Guess I will make some soup. Good morning friends, isn't this card just one of those "Nuff Said" with this beautiful Well Worn DSP? I love it and with the new stamp set Layered Labels I think it just went together. I am not sure about the buttons on the bottom but I wanted something else and I guess that is what I ended up with. Easy 3 minute card. I woke up this morning and went to get my coffee and I thought wow it is light in here. I realized I had left my door open all night. Good thing the boogie man didn't get me or that I had baked a pie and a bear came ravishing in. LOL! Hey that could happen up here in the North Woods.
On this card my base is Cajun Craze, Then a layer of River Rock, Then the Well Worn DSP that did not carry over into the new book. Too bad too. While I was doing this Chevron Card with this DSP it made me really look and there are some cool designs in here I think. I used the Itty Bitty Punch pack to punch a circle I could put under the Itty Bitty Buttons. The Layered Label Congrats is cut out with the Big Shot and the the Apothecary Accents Framelits that are NEW. Happy Well Worn Wednesday to you all. LOL! I hope your week is going great. I slept in a bit this morning and woke up to a windy day. I went out and mailed a card for my sister's anniversary and picked up some sticks and branches that fell. We got rain last night so I don't have to water the garden. YAY! Then I grabbed the garlic juice to spray on my garden plants to keep deer and varmints off so they won't demolish my hard work. My meeting went good last night and I will share the swap cards with you soon. We did a darling Make and Take too which is so cute. I just love my down line and we just had a nice relaxing night with eats and stamping and friendship. Ain't life grand? Yes it is. I am so blessed to have an active down line. Before they came over I went to pick some lilacs and they made the house smell so good.
On this card I am showing you a new stamp set called Layered Labels and a framelits die called Apothecary Accents Framelits that matches the stamps in the set. OMG you are so going to want to buy all that new stuff. The new Big Shot dies,framelits and texture folders are so incredible. I mean INCREDIBLE! I punched out 1 inch circles out of the Well Worn DSP and card stock. That DSP will be discontinued before the new catalog comes out and it is so perfect for male cards. You have 8 more days to buy anything from the old catalog. On this stamp it says Heartfelt but I stamped over it with the Heaven Knows you're special (I know it too) stamp in Cajun Craze ink and card stock to make a banner to go over the Heartfelt word. This is a card I made for my guy friends that loaned me their vehicle while mine was in the shop. Which by the way is still in the dang shop. GRRRRR! I have a Rhubarb cake baking for them now so I wanted to get this card done and give it to them with the cake.

HA HA HA I was just uploading this card thinking about what I could call this card using new sets out of the upcoming Annual Catalog. All I could think about was when I was young and roller skating in my hometown of Davenport IA. At the skating rink there was this big rotating crystal ball hanging from the ceiling that had a light shining on it and I remember how I felt when it was an all skate. So everyone could chose to skate if they wanted to or skate who they wanted to skate with. Okay so make this card be what ever type of card you want. You choose. Alright so I am very goofy and have a warped mind sometimes but at least I am honest. This is really what I was thinking about today. Yikes, I am scared of myself. LOL!I have to go mix chemicals for spraying my garden. Now just think about that for a minute would ya? Giggle Giggle!
On this card I am using almost everything from the future catalog that you are just going to love. I mean love love love. But no the top design I had to fussy cut as one of my down line called it this weekend. They tell me it is a quilting term but I don't dare get into quilting. No way. My tables don't get dusted now so no I will keep on stamping.
The for you comes from a new set and is cut out with a new framelit. I used the Summer Starfruit ink and the Raspberry Ripple which are 2 of the new in colors. I think they are pretty and am happy with the new colors.
