Hello stamping peeps, happy Friday. Wow, Christmas is right around the corner. Are you ready? I am still sending out cards so I am not ready. I already had one celebration but have another one Christmas Eve at my sisters. I stamped the other day and this is another one of the cards I made. When the Christmas Collection of Stampin' Up's Single Stamps came out I ordered some of them right away. I love this one called Wonderful Blessing and I stamped it here in Chocolate Chip. Then I conveniently die cut it with the Circles Collection Framelits. There are little dots around the image so I used my paper piercer to pierce those. The textured embossed second layer is a Sneak Peak of a SAB item. I gathered up some retired Polka Dotted ribbon and adhered the Gold Sequins with Glue Dots. These will be available in the Occasions Catalog that goes into effect in January. Yes, the benefits of being a SU demo. :-) I can order ahead of time. I just pulled apart the string of sequins and stuck them to the ribbon with Glue Dots. I used this image and made a lot of variations to send out. I ended up going to the Hallmark store to buy 3 boxes of cards knowing I wouldn't have time to stamp. My sister asked if they kicked me out of the store but no they didn't. LOL! I gotta tell you though they made me feel like never going back there. The clerk said they had a coupon for 30% off and asked if I had a coupon. I told them no but could they give me the coupon and she said no. I should have walked out but I was desperate. I will never buy cards there again.
Let me know if you have any questions on my card. I hope you have a great weekend. We are having wintery weather here so I am staying in all weekend except to walk down the block to church.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping and scrapping. Hugs, Bev
Love the scrunched up ribbon with the sequins scattered Bev. Good work. Must have been hard to actually have to buy cards. I can't bring myself to do it. Except I did buy gift tags for Christmas. When you are pushed for time, that's how it is hey. Vx
