Happy Sunday morning friends, I hope your weekend is going well. I canned 7 qts of Apple Pie Filling and made a Gluten Free Pie and still have enough pie filling left over for probably 2 Apple Crisps yesterday. I sadly think that the jars didn't seal properly so instead of going through the process again I am going to just give it away now. Darn it. I guess I will have happy friends however. LOL! I then babysat last night for 4 little kids and it was so fun. I ended up taking them to the Dairy Queen for a treat. It was a nice day really and I love those little chillins.
I wanted to share this card I stamped for the Paper Players challenge and Wowza! not being able to layer was a bit challenging. For one thing with all the lovely DSP's and Framelits why would you only want one layer? Okay just kidding! I had this Too Kind set laying on my desk so I used it again for this card. I checked my Color Coach for the color combo I wanted to use and here is what I ended up with for my card. I used the Needlepoint Border Textured Embossing folder on the edge and used three different stamp sets. What do you think? I think it turned out sweet actually. I love that Off The Grid stamp I used in the background. Too Cool!
Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Too Kind, Off the Grid, Sketched Birthday
Card Stock: Whisper White
Inks: Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding
Tools: Big Shot, Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Now make sure you check out the other cards and oh my gosh do not miss these cards as they are so beautiful

I am off to enjoy this beautiful day! I hope you do too. Hugs, Bev

Too Kind Retrosketch Card
TGIF stamping friends, oh it has been chilly in the mornings as I sit her in my jams but I guess the warm temps are going to come back next week. I hope so as the tomatoes aren't doing so good in this cool weather we have been having.
Yesterday morning I picked all these apples at the farm, yes a ton of them. I can't get to my recipes since they are somewhere in my storage unit so I printed one off for apple pie filling but it was the freezer kind. My laptop wouldn't work at Irv's and I forgot my battery charger for my phone so I didn't want to run that down either by checking on the web so I thought oh heck I will just start cutting them up and freeze them. I did 2 quarts was all as I ran out of lemon juice and no vinegar to be found. Forget the apple job and on to fixing supper for us. I wasn't very organized to say the least so will have to try this weekend. I talked to my friend last night and got the recipe I was looking for so now I can be more organized. Just too much on my plate I guess but I did manage to stamp this card yesterday morning. YAY!
My dear BFF has her birthday today, so this is her card and didn't it turn out pretty? I used the sketch for the Retrosketch this week which I just loved. I have wanted to use this set for a bit but haven't gotten it out. I love it though. I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Ink and just stamped off on my scratch paper for the first layer of color and then full strength on the top layer of the flowers.
Here is the recipe:
Stamp Sets: Too Kind, Label Love
Card Stock & Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Old Olive, Brights DSP
Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Tools and Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Artisan Label Punch
Whoops almost forgot this link: http://retrosketches.blogspot.com.au
and please drop by and check out the other darling cards.
I hope you have a terrific Friday and I hope to be back sometime this weekend. I am getting excited about my trip to Ohio next week to see a good friend I met at Convention one year. I love this Stampin' Up! job.
Let me know if you have any questions about my card.
Off to get outside. Hugs, Bev
